NEED HELP
I'm wondering if any of you know a website or a place in the states where I can find an 3SGTE MR2 clip..That way I don't have to order one from japan..Also question:What would be better buying one from japan or one from the US...Right now I have the 5SFTE and I'm getting bored of it so I want to look up some clips to start saving up..

craigslist and ebay would be you best bet....
but daym man.. i've seen many of your post.... you seem to just start on something then immediately change your mind after a week or two. Thats definitely not a way to save... Plan things out and go from there... There are tons of post of many different swaps. Figure out what you want and stick with it. That 5sfte could be really fast if its done right. Its 2.2liter engine compared to the 3s which is only 2.0L..... Do some reading instead of running you fingers and post tons of threads LoL... |

I see others with a bunch of threads and I've been wanting the 3s for a while now..and thats what I'm going to get and yea im going to stick with it..also I have been doing some reading and yes I've heard that the 5s can be fast but I've read it requires more money so I rather have the 3s and from there go to my second car after I do the swap on this car

you are going to spend about 3K-4K on a swap anyway why not buy the internals for the 5s? you have the engine already. Get better pistons etc and put the $$$ on it and I believe it will cost you just the same amount, time and labor. Going 3s is just easy way to go since it is pretty much bolt on with the whole clip to your car. However if that 3s needs work, thats another eas $1K out you pocket to get it rebuilt.

They have Gen II and Gen III clips and can build almost anything you want. Josh is a great guy. Super busy, so email is the best way to get a hold of him (the_mister3@yahoo.com). or you can try atsracing.net. They also build motors, but I've never dealt with them. A clip is probably your best bet (if you are on a budget) because it comes with the motor, trans, and ecu. You might even be able to get a complete uncut harness. Good luck with your search. |
