3sfe to 3sge swap
I have a 1992 mr2 with a 3sfe. I want to swap to a more powerful engine but i want to retain the reliability of an NA engine since this is my daily driver. How much work would be involved in swapping in either the 5sfe or 3sge engine?

Since it's the same head I would think it'd be a lot easier to install a 3sge.

the 5sfe and the 3sfe are nearly identical. they are basically twin engines, just the 5sfe is a stroked version. you will only gain around 15hp doing the 5sfe swap. the 3sge swap is very easy. there really isnt much more to it than doing the 5sfe swap. about 8 wires and a few misc sensors. the power gains on the 3sge are AMAZING for the cost. its a whole different car.
