fuel gone bad??
OK, my mr2 has been sitting for at least 6 months without runnning, it has about 1/2 tank of gas and it will start but will die right away if i dont continue to give it gas.. is it bad gas, or do i have more problems?

when you leave your car sitting for that long with gas in the tank, it looses ALLOT of octane because its kinda like alcohol, it evaporates, and basically becomes closer to water. engines dont run on water, so what i would do is add and Octane Booster and a bit more gas, hopefully this will give it some necessery octane to explode in the pistons, hopefully keeping the car on.... If the problem does not subside, pump out the gas from the fuel tank. and re-fill

Yes, STP Octane booster is 'one' of the best. IMO
STP Octane Booster - Barely Street Legal Its actually a shot of Jet Fuel. |
