Thanks Ben, this is pretty ridiculous.... Are there any tell tale signs of an engine being replaced?

edited for subject verb agreement....

Other than the VINs being different, if the swap was done properly it can be hard to tell. Look at the bolts on all the motor mounts, if the heads look like they've been impacted, its possible that the motor came out.
