with your fuel injectors, you can always try using a nine-volt battery and hook up wires from the battery to the injector you should hear it click. you might need to have the ignition on so that the fuel pump is running and the proper psi is in the fuel rail as some injectors wont do anything without fuel pressure.

hopefully you didnt burn a valve like my mkI, but try that with your injector i also own a porsche 914 which has one of the first setups of bosch fuel injection. but luckily for you mr2's are much easier to work on and much more reliable

if it was the regulator, i wouldnt think any of your injectors would work because they have to run somewhere close to 30 psi or more

OK guys so i took my valve cover off because i was gonna change it anyway and was scared about finding killer sludge or something.
there is not one dot of sludge in this motor. or at least not on top. (mobil 1!) anyways. is there something I'm not seeing i real a rattle that disappears once the oil fills up to the head. a cam lobe trying to push a valve down? |

shEt i was in miami today. i wish i had ur number so i coulda checked it out.
that motor is hella clean man! virtually no oil stain. if u have a bent valve you can check that with a feeler gauge. or u can also use an air compressor and force air into the motor using the compression tester hose without the gauge on of course so u can attach the compressor hose to it. if the air escapes, u can tell by a sound then u have a problem there. but i sincerely doubt u have that. i still blame the injector |
