So I got this rear strut bar used from the UK..it had a little surface rust on it. Im like ok..I will just sand it down a little spot paint it and all is good. Then I think to myself..why would I do that.. I mean I already spent 200$ on this bar why not restore it to its goodness.. So I bead blasted it down to bare metal and am going to get it powdercoated. just wondering if I shoudl get it back to the stock looking TRD color or if I should go with a body color style or like a flat black style. Suggestions appreciated..mabye I should chrome it :P picture of its current state.. I was thinkig about mabye just a clear coat on it because it is really nice lookign just beadblasted...
I surgically removed the metal TRD placard with some metal floss for replacement after powdercoating.. ![]() |

Looks pretty good like that just through on some clear lol, but me personally would bring it back to its original state as they are gonna get harder and harder to find in good condition! which ever you decide I'm sure it will look good

1stgen - what color did you decide on? Did you ever determine if it's possible to get a code to match the original TRD color?

I think the badges changed slightly over the years.

I decided on the body color. Which was what I have pictured. the big picture is mine installed.. The closest I found was gunmetal grey from the powder guy it seemed real close to the original color but I figured a little color was nice in the engine bay.
