Towing a 1991-1995 MR2 behind Motorhome

Anyone out there ever done this? I see off the shelf tow kits for 2000 and later Spyders but not for older MR2. If yes, did you fabricate or did you find a kit? I have shopped REMCO towing, Falcon and Roadmaster with no luck. Thanks

I wold go with the U haul as well. Finding a hitch is too hard and still towing will be much easier with a flatbead.

Alternative to towing in flatbed

research says that towing 4 flat with car in neutral ( manual trans) and inginition to on so tires are free does not hurt the car. I know of several who tow Spyders 4 flat and never any issues to date. The challenge appears to be where and how to mount the brackets. My assumption is that since my 91 only has a single tow hook on the drivers side there must be a passenger side location equally as strong - they just included 1 tow hook form the factory. By replacing the stock tow hook with receiver for the 2 point tow bar ( replicating this on passenger side) then car is good to go.
If I go with a tow dolly do I back it on have front wheels down or drive on an have rear down with car in neutral? A flat bed is too much and too inconvenient for for wide use RV travels. Dolly is a compromise since the low tongue weight means you can move it around by hand once car removed. You can see where flat down towing is so desired.

Uhaul wouldnt let me rent a tow dolly to tow the mr2. We have an 05 envoy with tow package and they wouldnt give it to me. I just paid the guy to tow it to my house for me and it was easier. I'm not sure if it was because the mr2 is rwd or why but they wouldnt give me the dolly. Good luck though.
