Horn doesn't work

Hey guys. Does anyone know why a horn would go out for?

I'm not sure if the fuse is out. Or if my horn actually works, Where is it located?

I checked and the wire is hooked up on my steering wheel. Just looking for advice on what to do.

Well, for starters, check all your fuses. The box you'd be looking at lives right next to the left footrest/ dead pedal behind the plastic paneling there.

its not a fuse its a relay. and its in the frunk. its says 'horn'. its a bugger to get out.
you do have a stock steering wheel? if you don't then make sure your contact points are connected to the metal ring, and what not.

yes. I have the stock steering wheel. I seen the relay in the frunk. Can you test them to see if they are still good? How would i know if i need to replace it?

yup. clean the relay. pop the top off of it and use some sandpaper to clean the contacts.

take the airbag out and you'll see two metal plates where the horn touch. on each one of them. unbolt it and use sandpaper to sand the plates down. that should help.

disconnect the battery, wait 5 or 6 mins for the capacitors to discharge and then work on it... make sure no one is in car when you reconnect the battery... simple as that. Damn thing probably doesnt work anymore anyway

As its been said, use your middle finger.....

ok seriously now, the horns (there are actually 2, a low tone and high tone) are attached infront of the rad/condenser up front....

more then likely its the horns them selves that have gone out...

The quickest and easiest way to check if its the horns or not is to unplug one of them and stick a 12v test light into the plug (its only a single wire) and obviously ground the aligator clip, press the horn and see if the light lights... If it does, then the horns are at fault and if it doesn't, then its either the fuse, relay or wiring...

It is powered from the Haz-Horn Fuse in the Frunk, if your 4-ways are working, then the fuse is good which leaves the relay or wiring if your not getting power at the horns..

Open the frunk and have some one pressing the horn...if you can hear the relay clicking that means it needs to go. Just did this on my car a few days ago. Went to salvaga yard. Took one from a celica and paid 99 cents for it. My car is now as horny as ever haha....now if it idled as well as it honks lol......
