I think the second one is an under brace, hard to tell from that angle. Mine rusted right through, and I managed to rip one out with my bare hands. Aaron at Lithia Toyota (board sponsor) should have them, and there's always the option of fabricating your own. I feel like I'm digging up the link to this every other day: MR2 Under Braces

first things first, the little bracket thing on your front mount is where one of your splash guards mount onto, secondly the little support thats rusted is very common, so trying to get one from a junked car is very rare, third that thing well i dont know what it is, but im pretty sure i dont have one. hope this helps(not much info)

Ah, the splash guard bit makes sense, I have the same thing going on. Also, not to jack your thread, but does anyone know the exact centerline to centerline distance on those underbrace holes? The rust probably allows them to be compressed somewhat and would affect the measurement, and I'd like to fabricate my own to OEM size or perhaps with a little more distance (+1 or 2 mm) to strengthen the car.

yes your missing a guard.there is a guard on my car bolted to both brackets that come down. the guard is meant to come up and cover the lines (i think gas lines, clutch lines and trans cables, im not 100% sure) but on my car it does cover them.

It's kind of hard to tell what we're looking at, since your pictures don't give a real sense of perspective. I'll have a look under my car tomorrow and let you know.

that item you said that is just hanging out in the engine compartment, is it attatched to a boost line or the intake manifold because it almost looks like a boost switch, and if there is a small flat head screw on it somewhere it would be of the adjustable kind

That 'thing' is likely an oil/water temp sensor
The big 'other thing' with the two screws is an aftermarket sending unit with the two screws being the electrical connections. You could test this with a voltmeter and some hot water ![]() |

You may have already taken care of those braces by now, but I just replaced mine as well from a parts car. I put out a WTB for them, and had a guy in CA with a parts car contact me. Got 'em both for $25 shipped.
Aaron has them in stock as well...this was the quote I got from him, and I would've bought had I not found a parts car- Quote:
![]() The right side was completely gone except the very ends were still attached with the bolt. |

I'd just make your own, cheaper and you can get thicket metal, the ones I pulled off were really thin and felt like plastic.
