Future Mr2 owner has questions?

Okay guys please bear me any negative comments as I am a newbie with Mr2s. I recently got out of the Honda scene, now i'm into Mr2s.
I see that Mr2 Turbos range from 6700 and up, my question is, my i'm about to purchase a Non Turbo Mr2 for 3000 clean with only 110K in it. I was thinking about custom turboing it. Does anyone on this forum has ever tried? I found a place that would do it here in FLORIDA but they charge 4500 for it in which it is too much. If you guys have references on who or where i can get a custom kit, i would really appreciate. Thanks!

Thanks for the reply I just moved to Orlando from Tampa. I go out of the Honda scene because of the thieves trying to jack my civic. After i sold the civic i wanted a Mr2, one of toyota's greatest car.

It's not worth the trouble to turbo a non-turbo MR2. Just swap in a turbo motor.

How much would a swap and labor be altogether?

Depends who's doing the install and where you get a swap from. We sell Gen3 3SGTE swaps w/ LSD transmission complete for $2500 shipped. Installation from a shop would run you anywhere from $400 to 1200 depending on who does the install for you.

Thanks for the info, I'll try to find someone who could do it for cheap so I can save some money and order a swap.
