Revision 6 Headlights
I say install some Revision 6 Headlights. I think the car looks much sexier, plus I found they are more aerodynamic... My stock lights were much more prone to wind, etc. on the highway. |

Body kit, rims, and tails i voted for. Oh yea, you should also get a turbo lid, lower it, and exhaust for looks. It'd be pretty much a complete package in the looks department after that.

I'm lucky. Where I live its easy to tell the people who like the fart cannons and cheezy aluminum wings because they all drive civics, integras, neons, etc. Anyone who drives a real sports car (MR2, 300ZX, RX7, etc.) has enough taste to actually make there cars look better with their choice of mods, or just leave them stock.
Bodykits and such are still bought for the good cars but the exhausts are deep but not too loud and the wings look like they were designed for the car not just screwed into the trunk. More on topic, if you can't afford it, don't buy it. If you can afford it but plan on selling the car when you finish school, don't throw your money away because at the very best you'll get 20% of what you put into it back. If on the other hand you do have extra money to spend on luxary items like car parts and your into cars and would rather spend money on your ride than any other luxary items and the MR2 is THE car for you then buy it. Personally, I meet all 3 of those requirements and couldn't be happier with the money I plan on wasting on my car. Owning a bad ass car is a lot of fun (and worth it in my opinion) but you'll always have to spend money on parts, owning a second car for practical uses, storing it in the winter (in cold climates like me). Everyone is different so I suggest that you do whatever will make you the most happy. |

I think that the stock MR2 is already a beautiful car so i wouldn't do to much. But if you are a carbon fiber freak like me then you should check out www.madpsi.net they have some suttle carbon fiber lips and canards and hoods and other goodies

I always tend to get a bit light-footed when I'm asked for my opinion on appearance mods. My typical canned response is;
"Taste is highly individual. Ultimately, you're going to have to be the one to stare at it every day in your driveway so do what you want to do and screw what other people say." That said, if I was to be asked what are "popular mods" that are most likely to please the peanut gallery, then I would spill out whatever the kids are buying these days which are body kits, exhausts, wheels, ect... When I personally build a car I have a very simple rule that I follow. "A car (and/or engine) should look as good as it runs" So now that my disclaimers are out of the way (whew!), just make sure that your car is clean inside and out (attention to detail), nice wheels are always a plus, and whether or not you decide to get a kit, you should make sure your paint and body is top notch. Good luck on your project and pics would be a bonus! Scott |

IF you don't plan on turbo'ing it then I say get the clear corners and 94+ tail lights
and then get some decent rims with good tires, and after all that you might want to upgrade your sound system, maybe short shifter there's so much you can do to your MR2 its not even funny |

If your into body kits go for it what ever makes your day,But if you ask me i prefer stock
with 93 lip,94 tailight,and the bomex air scoops,the carbon fiber hood and that's it ,The mr2looks great stock,from my experience body kits are kool but eventually it gets boring and the maintenance is a pain tear n wear will make it uglier if not maintained,especially if your car is lowered allot and you have a bodykit it hard not to damage a kitted car,and ounce you crack your body kit your investments go down the drain. |
