can someone PLEASE make a simple wiring diagram or thread to follow for which wires need to be spliced into on the n/a chasis when doing a turbo swap. just the wiring, eveything else is easy, its just the darn wiring.

if you get the complete wire harness you dont need to splice anything because the harness brings the clips that plug into the bottom of the in-engine fuse box and the 2 clips for the ecu the 3rd clip is from the body harness... if you get a cut wire harness you most likely didnt get a half cut... so u still need to buy some stuff like...
fuel pump (walboro 255) air fuel meter 2 bar map sensor igniter coil ecu (if not provided) intercooler piping thats all i can think of right now... im currently in the middle of doing my swap and like you i recived a cut wire harness... so instead of wasting 500-1000 bucks in getting my wire harness spliced i was gonna do it myself with a WIRING DIAGRAM you can buy from toyota... but instead i decided to buy a usdm wireharness ( the same year as my motor and car ) which is the smartest and cheapest thing will also save you tons of time at the end... how to tell what year your motor is... to determine what wireharness to buy and if you have LSD or not if your motor has 9 exhaust manifold bolts you have a 93+ if it has 7-8 (cant remember) you have a 91-92 if you look through the tranny ( where the axles go ) and there is visible bar going diagonally through the input hole than you have an LSD if you can see clearly to the other side with no obstruction (no visible bar) than you unfortunatly dont have LSD... LSD's came as an option from factory on some late modle 92's( i belive ) and 93+ these links more accuretly answer your question... there are four scroll sections at the top of the page pick the second one and look for " gen 3 wiring diagrams" should be the 2nd one in the list http://www.mrtwo.net/mr2modproject/mr2modproject.htm this link to the mr2 fourm is good because this fourm has been around longer and has tons more info on anything you wanna know give this one a try any use the search feature... if you dont get what your looking for the first time try re-wording it... http://www.mr2oc.com/index.php? they have a great for-sale section which new thing are added every couple of minutes... im also a member of this forum ..hope's this helps Last edited by andreleroy; 07-16-2006 at 11:36 AM.. |

i heard its pretty much color matching... cuz if you look at the wire harness im pretty sure no 2 wires are the same... after you splice everything youll be left with like 7 wires... ill look around and see what i can find...
