need help with wire

i was having major problems with my car after putting the engine back in. i would hook up the battery and the engine would jump, and the fuel pump would stay on without the key in the car.

i figured out i had a wire on the alternator that wasnt suposed to be there. i took it off and all the problems stopped. now i dont know where it goes to and thats where i need your help.

the wire comes out of the harness with the alternator wiring and the little vacuum sesor thing wiring.

i took some pics, they kinda suck because i had to use my phone.

this is a close up of the wire, the grey thing that looks like its coming off the side isnt part of it. its just 2 wires that are crimped onto a metal tab with a hole in it for a bolt

this is the wire held up by the vacuum sensor thing

this is the plug held up by the alternator, it is not the wire that hooks to the alternator for sure.

thanks for your help, its been 4 months since ive drove it and i cant wait.
