heated rear window

i want to use the wires thst go tothe heated rear window,which i never use,and use them to power something in the boot,can anyone tell me do you take off the coat hooks behind the seats,and pull thaty plastic strip off,dont want to break it so want to know first...

I used those for my engine lid fans and it worked fine. Once you remove the coat hooks (or tab), there is a screw underneath. Once those are out, the panel is held in by the snap clips and will pop out fairly easy.
