getting from san fran to la or vice versa
I am traveling to San fran for a few weeks and want to visit a friend in l.a. for a few days and probably fly out of there so whats the best way to get to la from san fran I saw flying into lax is 70 bucks and a train is 52 and a bus is 47 and hitching a ride I have no idea but I would also like to see the cali coast and check out what the pch has to offer any ideas or sugggestions?

PCH (Highway 1) is a real nice drive, takes longer but it's definitely worth it if you've never been before. A faster way would be 101, which is decent but not quite as scenic but faster. Faster still is I-5, which sucks ass but it'll get you there in 6 hours.
