... to my MR2. I just went to a wholesale silent auction with my dad, and I found a beautiful 1992 240SX 5spd hatchback with about 153000 mi. It was completelty un-molested. 100% stock. It wasn't getting much attention, so my dad bid $1,701. Mind you this is wholesale. I know they're worth a lot more. So if we win, I'll trade my MR2 for it.

I'll try to upload pics I have a little bit later.

There's no asking price. That's what my dad bid. I know they sell for 2-4 thousand more, but it's wholesale. I told him he should bid 2,600, but he needs to pay full in cash tommorow for everything he wins. :/

ya man, something that clean easily goes for 2500-3000 (well, at least until the economy started vomiting on everyone). There's some cheapo modded S13s out there, but that can be sketch.

Well before I knew about MR2s, I wanted a hatchback 240, but I always thought they would be too expensive, but if I can get this one, my mind will be changed.

ive owned five and driven i dunno how many. they can be very very different. S13s are smaller, and the RPS13s are missing a rear structure behind the seat. I think the balance is different, and the chassis feel a little bit different as well.

suspension is a big factor as well. Ive done the cut springs/welded diff to the Tein Drift Spec (holy **** that was stiff), to a more street oriented H&R Springs on KYB AGX. you really cant judge them from just one drive. They all acted completely differently.

Then there's powerplant differences from the SOHC garbage (done that) to the trendy SRs/RBs/ and whatever KA setups you want. I drove one RB powered S13 with McKinney Mounts and it still understeered a lot more than i anticipated. If i were gonna to an RB swap, it would be the RB26, and I would get the GTR drivetrain and have an AWD S13 sleeper

and thats just the S13s...

Well, my dad got the call just about 10 min ago... and... I'm now the owner of a 240!

It sold for $1,701. Now I traded my MR2 to my dad, and he's gonna have a go at selling it. And now my dad won't have a problem with me taking it home every once in a while from his dealer because it's a 2 1/2 seater. By half, I mean you can fit two people in the back if you cut there legs off. With the MR2, we could never take it home, because we couldn't fit 3 people. (3rd person being my brother).

lol no. Technically I got it for $2,600. Exactly what I had in the MR2. Because it was a straight trade for my MR2, and I still owe my dad $800 from the MR2.
