WHY FIERO'S SUCK AND THEIR OWNERS HATE US.

first off if you don't know what a fiero is, its not a bad thing that you don't know there simply isn't enough space in a normal persons brain for wasting it on knowledge of these crap rides. but because knowing what a fiero is needed for this post to work i will tell you.

a fiero is a dinky ****y mr ride made by pontiac in the 80s but was brought to this world by a sorry ******* by the name of John Folden. for some reason this mad man had too much time on his hands and pontiac had too much money so they got together like some drunken frat guy and a drunk *** coed and in the morning pontiac was pregers with the fiero (too bad there is no car morning after pill). the first year this tug boat was out its specs where like this: (92hp@4000) (2480lbs) and it was only a 4-speed, and even when they thought they made it all pimped out in 1988 it was still only, (135hp@4500) (2735lbs got fatter) and it finaly had a 5-speed. it was a wanna be mr2 from the get go, too bad it was an underpowered fatass that looked and drove like ****, i mean come on have you ever seen the inside of one of those it looks like a toy powerwheels from when i was a kid. needless to say it was a crap ride and didn't sell very well, the mr2 crushed it and it was dropped from pontiacs line in 1988.

now that you know what i'm talking about heres the story:

I am big into mr2s and am opening a shop that works on mr2s and other toyota cars and trucks. this is known to those in my area who kick it with me. my current mr2 is a 1988 sc, it gets around 230hp to the tires, if you live in or around fremont its the dark red mr2 with black steel rims thats flying by u. me and the rest of my mr2 possie were kicking it at newpark mall in newark on the top of the parking garage and all the sudden a fiero crew came up the ramp, okay i didn't even know that people spent money on these crap boxes but they do. turns out that these retards had been looking for my group of mr2s for like a month. we didn't know that people like this where enven real outside of movies, they are the most poser, ripped off fruit cakes i've ever seen (they said they came from oakland). so 5-6 of these crapy cars apear while we are about to park. I'm just putting my t-top on when I hear that mullet yell, "hey ***** wanna race, or are you scured of my 88 gt". I turned around and almost laughed right at him, he looked like one of those poser mobile guys off the comercial on tv. him and his wak *** group had all these "tricked" out fiero's. I only asked him if he was taking to me, and he got all stupid n stuff. my friends asked me if i wanted to just ditch them and go into the mall but for some reason they had peeked my intrest. so I walk over to the guy who was doin all the talking and ask him what hes got. he says hes got some stuff but its in pontiaceneese so i don't understand much of it, he asks me what i have and i tell him i have a 88 sc with hks cams, cam gears, pulley, custom exhaust, oversized pistons, hks stroker crank. he looks at me like i did when he told me what he had. Hes all gitty and stuff and wants to race. I told him i don't do street stuff anymore and he calls me a ***** and uses some slander twards my ride as well calling it jap crap and all the other terms for an import.my friends say just race the ******* and get it over with. so i decide to do so. I tell him i will race him but only if the loser buys gas for the whole other group, hes down for it so we head over to the road pick-n-pull is next to (mowrey / cherry st.). we ride down cherry st a bit till we know there isn't any fuzz and we tree up at cherry st and stevenson facing tward pick-n-pull. hes reving his car up and all but when the light turns green I pull some massive gs and i'm gone, by 3rd hes no where in sight, so i go to 4th to make sure and when i get to mowery i let it off, i'm doing an ohnest 110-120mph. i slow down and flip a ***** and come back over to stevenson only to find a smoking disaster of a fiero. he blew his motor the instant he dropped his clutch. hahahahahaha hahaha hahah hahh haha. hes all crying and trying to push his car out of the road with his homies, my friends got it on tape with a camera phone and i'm all watching it seeing little bits flying out of his car and all his oil and coolant spilling out, needless to say the video will be up as soon as my friend get a mini sd card for his phone. I felt kind of bad asking him to hold up to his end of the bargen but after all he did come talking some major **** to me and my friends. we end up getting him to buy all of us full tanks of gas plus my octane booster. then when we droping him off back at his wreckage we stick around a little bit to see if a tow truck comes. 30 minutes - 1 hour later a tow truck arives and grabs his crappy fiero. just as they are leaveing he asks me where he can pick up an sc mr2 like mine, I told him he wasn't ready to own one, truth was I didn't want to see him again or know he was braking a hard to find sc mr2. to make things worse one of his friends tries to burn out as they are leaving and a cop car out of nowhere pulls him over. UNDER NEW CALI LAWS he was street racing and got a fat ticket, we didn't get in any trouble as we had started twards auto mall parkway. that day was the craziest day in recent mr2 history.

all these events can be verified by any of my friends that where there. plus the video should be up soon, we got it all on tape.

Awesome story, but there's one problem. Are you still on the stock SC12 supercharger? If so, you're no where close 230 at the wheels. Even the most highly modified stock supercharged 4agze's are pulling about 180rwhp.

i'm running a sc12 I get 13-14psi boost from mine, if you don't think its posible just come to fremont and i'll dyno it right in front of you at my shop.

Dont mess with those 350 small block fiero's though, there the real deal, much like the mk1.5's, but yea, fiero's have always been plagued with problems like I think the earliest models didnt have a splash gaurd for there motor so when it rained outside, alot of motors wound up cracking from water hitting it. Thats what ive heard, dont know if its true.

I have to disagree with you about the fieros. I agree that some of them are a piece of crap but if you get one that has the V-6 with a turbo on it your *** is toast. I know of a black fiero with a V-6 with a turbo on it with custom intake maifold, Ems, and forged pistons, cams, and so forth. This guys were just a bunch of idiots. This fiero is putting down 350 WHP. That is actually a funny story that just goes to show you that how stupid some people really are, but to say that all fieros are a piece of crap is just ignorant. Not all fiero owners act like that. Cant wait to see the video tho..

first of all it takes a fiero to do what you people say. fieros are those cars at pick n pull that have been fried every which way. anyone who owns one bought it because they couldn't find an mr2. people fieros are not on the same level as mr2s. sure you can put 350 to the wheels but your still driving a fiero and thats if it wants to start. fiero = lemmon. turbo or not, mr2s will be around long after all the fieros have broken. pontiac dosen't sell parts for them anymore, they know its a dinosaur. why not put 350 to the wheels of an mr2, why waste money on a fiero. I never heard someone try and get props for owning a fiero, if so that man is gay.

HE says 230 at the wheels when his member garage says "Almost 212whp" @ 13 PSI..

Which one is it 230 or almost 212?

its 230 about, and psi ranges from 13-14 depending on my rpm, highest i've seen is 14psi and that was at 6000-7000rpm

So much hate. Don't you know that the MR2 is just a ripoff of the Fiero? The Fiero was out in 84. Plus...I've yet to see a V8 SUCCESSFULLY installed in an MR2. PLUS the Fiero has a composite body. Duh, it's a superior vehicle in every way..

You obioulsy dont understand cars. They can say the same thing about our cars. So what if the Mr2 puts dowm 400 WHP, at the end of the day is still only an mr2. Any car, I dont car what kind of car it is, If you put enough money into it you will have a kick asss car. Weather it's a Mr2, fierro, or a pinto. Our cars are really nice I do agree that the fiero is not the best looking car and it's not my cup of tea but to say that all fieros are crap is not very bright. If you reall want race a fiero so you can see what kind of power they can really make. Let me know and I can set up a track day with your car and my friends fiero. We can also viedo tape that and put that up here on the board for the results. We live in the same area so it wouldnt be to hard to do.

Fierros ARE crap. They are JUNK. Have you ever ridden in one? Stock vs Stock From Fit To Finish the MK1 MR2 is leaps and bounds ahead of the Feirro in EVERY aspect.

the fiero is a mr2 copy, toyota had been working with lotus since the 70s to make the mr2 and they had a concept car shown in 1984, so please if you don't know anything about mr2s join the short bus at a fiero club with all the other kids with helmets.
