estimate on body kit

i was just wondering how much should i really expect to pay for having the holes filled (from taking off the rear spoiler) and having to put the body kit and painted it. or paint the whole car. i need someone to tell me how much they pay for theirs to get it worked on. this one body shop i went to i ask him to give me an estimate to have the holes filled and kinda cover the scratch marks from my car, (there a lot but so small, i know i can do it i just wanna know how much is he going to ask me to pay for it.) he gave me an estimate of 3,300 dollars!!! after that i left.

Sounds about right for quality work. DIY usually ends up looking like shit if you dont have a shop in your backyard.

Actually, that is a good price.

They have to weld the holes closed, and make them smooth.

Then mount the body kit, sand them, primer, sand, primer, sand, basically get the kit looking good, and then paint the whole car.

$3300 is a great price for all that. It takes a lot of work to get those kits to look right.

If I would have paid for what was done to my car, it would have been around $6000 grand for what I had done.

Mine cost me $600.00 all together..........but I did it all myself in the shop

$3,300.00 to get everything perfect, spray, color sand and buff out is pretty good but only if you are getting a decent turn around time

wow

wow i cant believe that 3300 dollars is already cheap. i was wrong then. you guys will laugh at me so hard when i say this. i thaught at first having to put the body kit is around 500 then the cheap paint is about 500 so about a thousand. hehehhe. is it ok if i bought a body kit that is already primered and all i have to do is paint it? and is it really that difficult to put a body kit on? i just wanna know coz if that is the case it will take me sometime to save some money to buy a kit and put it on.

I paid 1750 for a full spray that turned out better than OEM. They would have installed a body kit for the same price too. Shop around. 3300 is a lot in some areas and cheap in others, body work can really vary from each location.

a real quality paint job turn around 2000$ here in quebec area (CND)
in that price the paint on the bodykit was included BUT my kit had no fitment problem, I fitted the kit before bringing the car to the bodyshop so he only had to repair minor damage before final sanding and paint job

I know a guy that bought the same kit as me (I have the original bomex front and original toms sides and rear) but his kit was a ondeground-design.com copy
he works as a body guy in a Honda dealer and to make his kit look decent it took 300 hours (and maybe a bit more)

So depending on the quality of your kit and the overall looking of your car, the bill may be real high, I really think that 3300$ to sand the kit 2 times, primer 2 times, fit the kit at the right place, then sand the entire car 2 times and primer 2 times with a final paint job (base coat, clear coat) is a good price

there's aways a shop out there like MAACO here in IOWA, make sure you go over their paiting process with them. MAACO will spray an entire car/truck for $500 dollars...but they don't sand anything or fix dents so....it'll most likely fall off in a year or so.
