Thumbs down DEFTRacing CF vented hood

Anyone considering replacing there OEM hood with a Deftracing.com hood needs to take a look at what they will be receiving.

Deftracing

From my calculations the DEFTRacing hood is:
53 3/4 across just above the headlights
31 7/8 between the headlights
33 3/16 right down the middle

The original hood dimensions:
53 7/8 across just above the headlights
32 1/8 between the headlights
33 7/16 right down the middle

EXPECT A HOOD THAT WILL HAVE A 1/2 GAP THE WHOLE WAY AROUND

Some background on the car.
94T
28,071 original miles
No accidents
All original factory paint

In a nut shell response from Deftracing...
"I have talked to fabrication about this in the time you sent the other one, and that is how the hood is"
"it is not a manufacturing problem"
"Unfortunately we do not agree with you"

Send it back in the original packaging undamaged to receive a refund for the purchase value of the hood ($320)

So mathmatically I have
$320
$165
+ install = $600

Now they want ME to pay $165 to ship it back to receive the original $320 I paid for it.

You can see in the above picture where the passenger hood hinge had to be modified to match the incorrectly manufactured bolt locations.

yep, you're not the first DEFT customer with fitment issues. I want a carbon fiber hood so bad but never had enough confidence in the company to get it right. $320 is cheap for a hood though. Sucks man. sorry to hear. I'll end up saving the full $1500 for border's authentic

I had a Madpsi hood that fit well and looked good...however the "D" ring would not line up the with factory hood latch.

I figured hood pins would get me by and they did....untill I forgot to latch them while in a hurry.
