(MK2) Exedy Stage I & II Clutch Kit

Stage I:

Clamping force is great for a solid disk OE replacement
No chatter
Almost stock pedal feel
Great for highway driving
Trackable & Streetable

Stage II:

Clamping force good for 7k RPM clutch drop
Great for 350hp
A little chatter when off gas
Almost stock pedal feel
Trackable & Streetable
3 Puk Sprung clutch

Overall on both, great products with almost stock pedal feel.

Stage I: A on the Dennis Scale
Stage II: A on the Dennis Scale

Dennis

my jdm motor came with some exedy clutch on it, but I wasn't sure which one. Can you describe the look of the stage 1?

I have a stage one also. Holds nicely around a 3 drop, but haven't tried anymore, but then again why? Feels great and drives much like stock.

My car will be up there for the next week, maybe two starting this tuesday jason. Im getting a genII swaped in instead of rebuilding mine and harry is hooking me up.

i drop mine at 7k when drag racing using nitto 555r drag radials. it's like a dream how this clutch holds up. have done 20+ high rpm launches...and still drives like it's new.

great review!

i noticed that they discontinued the stage 1. i would assume that the stage 0 (OE replacement) was just as comparable to the stage one- hence why they dropped it? i'm gonna need a clutch for a gen3 w/ bolt-ons application. wondering if the exedy stage 0 will be efficient for up to ~270whp.

HOLY 6YR OLD THREAD REVIVAL!!!!!

They didn't discontinue the stage 1. The part number is 16803A where as the number for the regular OE replacement (Stage 0) is 16062

Hey Henry, there is a shop in Burlington that rebuilds clutch pressure plate and disc to your specifications. I had mine rebuilt there from a crappy Spec stage 3 (sprung disc) to a unsprung disc.

Google euro-drive burlington and you will find it.
