Weapon R for Mk II = Hoax Extraordinaire

I can't believe I was this stupid. I thought I'd try the Weapon R based on an article where they dyno tested a Honda with and without one. Went to the Weapon R website afterwards to read their stuff. Saw they had a listing for NA Mk II and picked one up from a board member at a decent price.

Received in good order but the thing is guano. The unit cannot be made to work without major rework. If you are looking for reasonably easy bolt on forget it. To make it fit and work right you will have to relocate the coolant filler neck, drop the charcoal canister lower, and move the fuse box.

The clowns at Weapon R should be embarassed to sell this as a bolt on.

Pictures coming.

The unit is nice in appearance. The tube wall thickness is about .125. It doesn't mean jack if you can't make it fit. The photos show the problem.

I believe he mixed up "appearance" and "fitment".

No, in classic parlance number 10 is the worst. The douchebags in Hollywood mixed it all up when they made the movie starring Bo Derek.

Regardless of what classic parlance says of the number 10, wouldn't you want to post the review scores based on how the majority of the people rate it, and how the system is clearly set up? I mean, even the bars next to the numbers reflect that...10 highest 1 lowest...so to the average person looking at your graph, it looks like the appearance sucks but the fitment is great.

EDIT: Weird the graph changed after I posted this, so now it's all rated a 1.

IDK, scratch my previous comment...

Also, I have NO IDEA why it posted a member review form me...I was only trying to comment, not review a product I've never used...I don't know what the heck is going on...scratch my whole post, delete it...i don't care

I had the weapon R intake on my NA, and it did fit at least, its not that complicated to put on, after all its a intake. Now could the fit be better? Yes. Next time though for a NA, I will pick up a ebay intake for like 15 bucks.

Cobble Job Racing beats Weapon R for fit.

Pics up on the Weapon R fit. The angle to the throttle body is NFG. In the real world, the intake outlet should line up with the throttle body inlet, not rely on a silicone coupler scrunched over in the hope of making a sealed connection. Intake air flow is supposed to improve.

You shouldn't have to muscle f**k hi dollar parts supposedly made specifically for the application.

Cobble job to stock airbox using extra stock snorkels gives a better angle and I bet better performance.
