Mk I D2 RS Coilover REVIEW!!

I just got my D2 Coilovers delivered today. I ordered these from a local dealer, friend of mine (PM me for more info). I got them for a hell of a deal, ordered them yesterday and they arrived this afternoon. The set is for the '87-'89 AW11.

There aren't many AW11s running D2s so I figured, what the hell I'll be a guinea pig. I've heard rumors of these being just like K-Sports and I had K-Sport Kontrol Pro's on my S13 Coupe and I HATED them with a passion because it bounced all over the place no matter how I set the strut stiffness. The D2 is a COMPLETE difference. They might be assembled in the same place, but they are two different animals. They are MUCH smoother than the K-Sports and are feel a lot more like the Megan Street coilovers I had on my S13 Hatch. Hell, they might even be smoother than that. I've adjusted them so that there's about one finger width gap between the top of the wheel well and the tire (can just barely poke a finger in there). Front's are at 24/36, rear is at 30/36. The ride is firm, but forgiving with this setting.

It definitely needs an alignment now, as there's way too much camber. The top mounting bolt is slotted and I'm pretty sure its all the way in (neg camber) so I'll be getting an alignment tomorrow and I'll let you guys know how the rundown is. I'm very impressed and extremely pleased with my purchase so far.
