1) no, not without an adapter. It does come with "45mm race" exhaust manifold.
2) no idea. 3) no, downpipe is an extra. Ive heard of 1 person having this actual turbo and he was really happy with it, the manifold however.....some people have had some issues with them. Here is another pic of the kit ![]() |

Hi, I'm new to MR2's but not to cars in general. I own a 97' acura integra gsr. My friend and I are very interested in purchasing an MR2. I was reasearching a bit a came across the dreadfull SSautochrome kit.
I have a very good link to an indepth review on this product for the B-series (integra engine). I'm sure the low quality of this kit applies to any other car the fabber makes. http://www.superhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?t=236746 |

I'm a biased opinion obviously with SSautochrome. There have been success stories of people making 200hp on this kit with proper tunning. The manifold has had some stories of lasting 1-2 years but there's also a few stories of it lasting 3 months. The turbo also leaks overtime.
Basically you roll the die with this kit is my opinion. Worth a try for $900? |

no, this is exactly what we need. and as far as there company goes with your explanation....thats how the mr2 community feels too. They make a few products that have been really popular in the past, and others not.
1 thing i would say they need to do is deck there flanges so they are flat. so far thats my only complaint. |

Ive not used this turbo kit but I have built my own turbo kits with some of their items. Their 46mm wastegate worked absolutely flawlessly and held boost right where it was supposed to. I used their 50 trim, .70a/r turbine turbo and used it for 4,000 miles with great power results. 335rwhp@17psi(corrected) on fairly stock Gen3 motor. I sold some other kits and have had none fail yet(this was about 1 year ago). I've had good luck with their stuff but I believe you must be picky about what stuff you buy from them. Not all is good, but Ive done just fine so far.

i fixed up a kit, replaced the crappy manifold with a stock manifold, stuck on a tial WG, stainless oil lines, ect, and made 240whp and 270+ ftlbs @ 11.5psi on a customers 5sfe a few month ago.
the adapter is crappy, manifold is junk, and the turbos are questionable ( you can get them all day for 160$ on ebay) but so far, its been very effective on the car i did. |

In either case, the picture, as shown by pheonix, is nothing more than a summation of all the ebay crap out there, rolled into one lump sum for a "kit". It shows the ct26 turbo manifold, the ebay T3 flanged adapter, and probably a turbo they had lying around somewhere. Also keep in mind that those adapter are a POS and causes serious interference issues on a gen2 block's oiling system. The wastegate lies almost directly over the oil cooler. There's only ONE person that I know of that took the time to make one work. He ended having to make a couple U-bends in the piping just to clear the filter...With all that work, you'd be better of welding two flanges together, porting the stock exhaust manifold between both tunnels and welding a Tial flange onto that. Or buying one of ATS's or Berk's off the shelf adapter plates for turbos using a T3 footprint. |
