Thumbs up Product Review: High Temp Silicone

I just wanted to put up a little snipit about High Temp Silicone hoses. http://www.hightempsilicone.com/ I ordered replacement hoses and clamps about a year ago after a couple of ones I had from TurboHoses split. The quality of the product is superior, and in my opinion, the best that is available on the market today. You can visibly see the quality difference right out of the box. After going through various hoses, these have worked out far better than any I've had experience with, and oddly enough, were less expensive than the competing products. When the car returns from the paint shop, I'll get some comparison pictures, unless I can find the ones I took last year. Anyway, I have always felt it was worth mentioning, so be sure to consider them when you have to replace hoses, clamps, and vacuum lines. Jim at High Temp Silicone is a great guy to work with, and has always gone the extra mile in my dealings with him.

I finally found those images. As you can see, there is quite a difference between the two, and in this case the cost of the better product was considerably less.

Note the difference in thickness, and also noteworthy are the much improved clamps I recieved with the High Temp Silicone product.

The hoses and clamps that I got from HTS where half what I paid for the ones from TurboHoses. I don't know if TH has changed their pricing or not, but High Temp Silicone (at the time of my purchase) was offering a far superior product at half the cost of TurboHoses. The TurboHoses product didn't last very long (6 months IIRC) before I had to replace it. The High Temp Silicone product on the other hand is still in perfect condition after a year and a half.

I wonder why they don't offer a stock Mr2 hose kit ? I need a replacement for the long yellow hose on my Mr2. Only Samco has the yellow hoses but they are like 300.00 for the Mr2 set in yellow . *YIKES* . I wish more companies made yellow again.

Haven't had a hose pop off since and it's been over a year. Have you even used the clamps that I have before making that judgement?

no I havent used those clamps but we have a certian model truck at my workplace that are known for blowing IC pipes off that does use them. guess what the TSB states? replace the clamps with T-bolt clamps.

wernt there a few more posts after mine earlier today?

btw...not trying to be a ****...just stating my personal experience with boost pressures in excess of 23 psi.

I replaced most of my vacuum hoses with the HTS silicon with good results. I've also been running the Turbo Hoses pipes with couplers and have had no problems with them either.
