Just a heads up... even know the Cometic gaskets have a coating on them we still use 3 light coats of copper spray to help seal them up. Cometic will tell you that its not needed but we and many other shops do... My 600whp KA24DE and my buds 690whp B18 use comtic gakets with copper spray and t works mint.

BUT i must note that Cometic (like brad said) strongly suggests not using it saying it will void any warranty with the gasket.

I have used it with and without and have yet to have a problem either way.

the mill finish on the block and head should be really smooth as well

THAT IS VERY VERY VERY IMPORTANT!! When it comes to MLS!
