Sorry, just got to put my 2c into this thread. For those who said they like the OEM 'kit' because it just looks better, that's cool. Taste is very subjective and one man's meat is another man's poison. However, to those who say that they want to keep their's stock because stock car's will be worth more down the track, or because it will be hard to find a stock MR2 10 years fromow (or even right now), or because it will be hard to sell a kitted MR2 later, or anything along these lines, I have to ask why you bought your MR2 in the first place.

I bought my MR2 to mod it, and to drive/use it. Modifying it gives me enjoyment in itself, and furthermore, I gain enjoyment in driving a modified car. When I am done with my MR2 (whenever that may be), I will then sell it, or otherwise dispose of it. What I did not buy my MR2 for is to keep it stock and garaged, so that I can maybe sell it for close to the price I originally bought it for down the track. Why base your decision on whether or not to mod your car on how much you will get for it when you sell it later? A car is usually not an investment, it is an expense, and it is made to be used. There are far safer, and more reliable and productive investment vehicles out there...cash in the bank would be one.

If you enjoy customizing and personalizing your car, I say go for it. After all, if you didn't buy your MR2 to gain some kind of pleasure from it, why did you buy it in the first place? Surely not just so that you can give someone else the opportunity and pleasure of buying a stock car in later years?
