Do you know if you need custom brackets for the fog lights or do they fit? |

lol, yep you'll need to figure out how to fix the fog lights. I didnt use brackets, I used construction urethane adhesive and glued them right in. I've had the front end done for over 2 months now and they havent loosened up a bit. GOOD STUFF from your local Lowe's or Home Depot.
EDIT: If I were you, I'd leave yours the way it is. Looks real sharp. That's my 2nd choice for a front end. Aeroware lip. not sure if yours is aeroware, but that lip looks good. and yep you can keep the stock bumper to avoid ruining the car ![]() |

This debate is funny to me. The comparisons are interesting...you can't really compare an MR2 w/a bodykit to Brians silver car. There are plenty of cars with bodykits that are done very modest and most people who don't know the MR2 would think its stock. I'm not saying this makes it ok, but in some cases I don't think it hurts anything. I would go back stock if I repainted my entire car...but that would cost too much $ I don't want to spend. My car is a 91n/a chasis w/swap so I felt no sin when I 'kitted' it up. If it was a 93+ I'd probably take a different approach. I do plan to get a 350z or S2K soon....and I'd have to say I'll never buy a bodykit for a future car....maybe a lip...but not a kit.

And, you may want to check you last statement about never running out of un-molested MR2's. It is already very hard to find '94+ MR2's that have been taken care of and are stock. |

Here are the canadian figures for mr2's sold in canada. i wouldn't go near any car that was modified. Mr2's are already rare cars so to find one that isn't modified...tough to say the least. |

![]() EDIT: It's also what I hate most about being a 94 owner. Responses like these that 94+ is holier than thou makes me wish I was back in a 91 because that's not the attitude I carry. Post a pic of your white car, or give me some links to your pictures. We'll settle this once and for all. I'm in no mood for disrespect today. |

haha honestly though, that's one big gripe i have against how the kit's done in this picture. i'd rather leave it open or paint the "chicken wire" black. |

Who cares 94, 91, 95+, 82, 56, whoopdie fricken doo... it's still an MR2... haha....
Personally, I like that black 94 with the border front.... everyone swinging off the nuts of a 93 lip and 94 wing... it's called preference people. It's like the meet here in Cali... 80+ mr2s.... I've never seen so many 93 lips and 94 wings... how "unique" is that? It's like... those with a 91 complaining about "butchering up" a 94... who cares... you've butchered up a 91 by being a wannabe 93/94. You don't see 94+ people complaining about people biting off the "newer" style... works both ways people... in the end, everyone owns just an MR2... woopdie doo. gla, hf... 3v3 BGH CABLEHOST!!! gogo |

For the record, all of my MR2s at one point were all 94+ (I had 5 94s and 1 95). You really need thicker skin man. No need to get so upset over that comment at all. People diss my car all the time, even in this thread. No need to have it strike a nerve. It's a good thing that there are many that want to preserve the heritage of the latest model MR2s. Years from now, it will be those well preserved cars that will carry the legacy of the MR2, not any of the kitted or modded ones, except in extremely rare cases. I'm not so much of a purist for the 94s, but I whole-heartedly am for the 95. I've turned down the sell of my 95 NA twice because the prospective buyers made the mistake of telling me their plans to do a swap and mod the body. I'll just keep it before I let that happen.

Well for the record, you didnt say anything to disrespect. I just think you're silly for thinking a car can be destroyed because someone swaps a bumper or astrays away from OE looks. Keeping your 95 from being "destroyed" isnt doing anyone (especially toyota) a favor.
oh and there's nothing different between a 95 and 94 LOL. EDIT: Is this your car? http://www.mr2board.com/forums/vbpic...hp?do=view&g=3 LOL.....I'm speechless, if so. do explain your "stock MR2" lectures when you're modded like mad (both engine and body work). that's like Al Gore and his mission towards a cleaner environment when his energy bill is $2500/month. LOL |

Ya, that's one of 10 I presently have. I buy and sell them rather often and I've seen a sharp decline in the number of people who apply quality mods to a MR2 and keep up with the long-term maintenance of them. I run across a lot of hack jobs these days. The availability of quality MR2s is definitely going down. My own car looks like crap because of road wear and tear. It's very expensive for me to maintain in top condition. Sure, it looks fine when everything is nice and clean, but it won't stay that way on a daily driven car. I know the original poster personally and was recommending what I think would be the best option for his situation. If you have the money to do it right and keep it well maintained, then have at it. If that isn't the case, then it will likely end up looking worse than when it was in OEM form. In my experience, body kits don't age well at all and are far less resistant to wear and tear. Having gone over the top with one MR2, I'm quite qualified to offer the perspective I have. If I had it to do over, I wouldn't do it again. In the log run, I don't think it's worth the expense, and ultimately I think most owners that like body kitted MR2s will later come to appreciate the stock examples more, just like I did. I'm just offering my own experience, and what I've noticed in the market and with fellow owners. Buying and selling these on occasion, I know the values of these cars quite well. The well preserved stock examples always bring a better price than the modded counterparts.
EDIT: There is an excellent write-up on the AW11 archive that verbalizes exactly what I'm talking about. It's titled "The death of the AW11 MR2". The same holds true for the MK2. http://shell.deru.com/~sgn1/AW11/AW11.htm |
