because a ford can't be engineered to those standards and still be reliable?

Negative. If you want a Mustang, buy a Mustang. If you want an MR2, BUY AN MR2. DON'T BUY ONE AND MAKE IT LOOK LIK THE OTHER!

I dont think an MR2 is more rare than a 67 GT500.

The vehicles dont compare in size so it's like crossing a yorkie with a newfoundland. ICK.

And I hate to say it guys but .....the REAL Eleanor > MR2

bah, the cars used in Gone in 60 Seconds (the remake) were just Mustangs built to look like Shelbys.

Thankfully too Anyone who would destroy a true Shelby with a body kit needs to be removed from the gene pool

Well I would love to take a 67 stang and make it a GT500 replica. Sorry, I had a sweet tooth for a 67 stand long before GI60 came out. But we're talking two different eras, and two different platforms. mixing the two is IDIOTIC!

I had a hot wheels car that kinda looked like that. It fell off the track. I didn't like it.
