New fans all working now with remote switch fitted in cabin, took out the old stereo and CD changer in prep for new Double din unit.Had to remove 3 gauges which will be now mounted in a pillar pod, these must be old style Blitz gauges as they measure 45 mm,any one seen these before.Got to make up a new wiring harness for each gauge as the existing ones are not long enough to reach the new position.

Was having a real good day sorted out the wiring mess to fit my new head unit, haven't driven the car in about 4 weeks had to go out to get some connectors as i approached the shop noticed the engine management light was on fuke, engine was really hot checked the oil that's fine, decided to drive back home really slowly as its only 5 mins away, coming down this hill and a van was coming the other way not much room down this road this guy wasn't gonna stop so had to swerve, rollocks hit the kerb slightly so now i have a slightly kerbed wheel.Managed to get home and done some more checks no water in the system christ thats weird when the car went in for its respray water level was fine, topped it up with some for life but havn't enough to fill the system so started the engine seems ok but the engine light is still on so has a sensor blown or what also the fan in the engine compartment isn't working either, that was fine untill this happened. So need to find out why the engine management light is still on and is there any serious damage down to the engine will check for error codes tomorrow :sad

If that van would have hit you the gods would have punished him. Eternity in hell waxing hondas anyone? The fact that he forced you off the road alone should land him bad karma for a while for sure

I can't really imagine you having those problems. How long/bad were you overheating? No white smoke from the exhaust? Is it still overheating?

It sounds like there was no major damage. Lucky! I'm glad it turned out that way and not a lot worse!
