It wasn't the break fluid, it was a braided coolant line he had running through the frunk that got very hot from the pure abuse we were putting our motors through that day, and it just cut right through the reservoir....

I just about did when i first got mine as well. I was driving round an exit ramp type thing. and in the middle of the corner was a massive patch of ICE (random because it was like 10 degrees celcius out in fall). By the time i saw it it was too late, it was the first time i'd had my mr2 start to spin, luckily i saved it, buy only after 3 or 4 overcorrections. I also made the especially bad mistake of lifting off the gas.

For a sec i thought i was going in the ditch

That braided line was from when the guy had a turbo on the 5sfe, he took the turbo off, but had the braided lines left over so he just used them as extra coolant lines and ran it through the frunk to the radiator as opposed to running it under the car.

Don't know if it's because I live in SoCal, but does anyone else few inches away from frequent accidents? Every week, I nearly get into 2 accidents and it's never my fault. First time was some lady in a huge lifted truck didn't see me. Second time it was because a lady was changing lanes in her brand new 3 series without looking. And just today, some chick in a old Toyota pickup nearly sideswiped me on the freeway when she was changing lanes.

Not to be sexist or anything, but it occured to me that it's ALWAYS a women driver. The worst was when I was behind this chick driving and it was one lane, but branched off into 2. She decided to drive in between lanes and eventually take the left lane. And also, the 2 lanes made a wide left turn following the street. I got angry cuz she was going 25 in a 45 zone so I sped up on the right lane and she changed right over the right lane and of course I had to brake. In that situation, my car went sideways the entire way of the street nearly hitting the guard rail. And what pissed me off the most is she looked in the rear view mirror (well anyone would because they hear tires screeching so you gotta look) and she and her friends are laughing in her car.

Don't know about you guys but it feels like my car is invisible to other drivers

What are your streets like? Or how fast were you overtaking her? I'd be pretty pissed off though. And the two lanes split and she takes the left one WTF?? Who does that?

I think the one that pissed me off the most was when i was driving down town one night, and some lady stopped at a stop sign waited for god knows what, and then she crossed the steet in front of me...

And it wasn't like she started and then stopped or sped up to get out of my way, no, she went the whole way, as i came to a screeching stop only feet away from t-boning her right in the drivers side.

And then everybody stares at ME

This is the street, Boxspring, the curve. .

The lane split into 2 lanes and she started to speed up eventually so I punched it into the right lane and then she quickly changes lanes without signaling or looking and i went sideways till the end of that turn. She didn't go into the left lane until the lanes started to turn. The entire time she was driving ON the lane blocking passage to the left or right lane.

Stupid drivers nowadays. And everytime someone sees a car screeching down the road, they always assume the driver is an idiot, but in reality...it was caused by someone else!

well it does make me feel a lot better knowing its not just me thats getting merged into. Lol For me it's a close race between that and the people that pull out right in front of me for what one pisses me off the most. I don't drive around speeding everywhere but I usually do the speed limite or up to 5 over, like just about every sane person. Its like they all just assume oh its a little car it'll be able to stop if I pull out 30feet in front of it on the hwy. Lol I have no ABS so a lot of fun that is. Also, I did buy a bigger vehicle to drive to work so I wouldn't get ran off the road all time, doesn't work. They still try to merge into you for no reason at all. I don't mean like I'm being an ass on the interstate staying in the right lane getting merged into either. I mean like just driving down a 2 lane hwy and the person beside me swings on over without looking.

I'm starting to think I should drive my camry around. Less likely chance that I'll DIE! But then again...love the mr2 too much haha

I have no ABS as well, I'm hoping that won't be a huge disadvantage someday.
