my 1977 celica gt liftback

yeah yeah i know it aint an mr2 but what the hell, its my new project, and only liftback 1st gen in iceland (nice 2x 1 of a kind cars here that i own)
the body its pretty banged up, last owner destroyed the car, those pics are 5 years old there
pics from january

pics of my work last month

back panel was pretty shitmixed work from prev owner
this is where the guy **** mixed the back panel together, as you can see he welded **** over the backpanel

here it is complete

here was a hole on the back panel

here i made a piece of sheet metal and welded it in and said good bye to those ugly usa side markers, usa spec 1st gen sucks, heavy bumpers and ugly lights

picked up nice smileys

and bought new sills and wheel arches

rear end getting ready
fully jspec rear end

1cm thick bondo FU*KING idiots and lot of dented iron that had fiberglass to make it nice

i would like to know what damn ******* fixed that car

pics of the car 2004, before the guy that owned it before me destroyed it with no care of the car

and last the engine donor that i picked up for 100$

cause wow, that 1cm thick bondo is gross

Thats really too bad, it's amazing what those 5 years did to that car, because it looks amazing in the old pics of it (with the exception of the ugly USDM bumpers )

These cars are rare and easily confused for being an older mustang.

Man, there is a car like this in the Houston area in Texas.

I saw it like a month ago and last night! Is there a forum for owners of this car ?

If you want, the next time I see this car around at a houston car meet I can direct him to the site so y'all can exchange info about yalls car or whatev since their so rare.

I think i saw one for sale on craigslist in vancouver a while back, but it was pretty rough. I can see what you mean about it being mistaken for a mustang!

little update
the welding machine was in use so i did what i could do
i lowered the gas tank down to remove the towing hooks, going to weld a piece into the hole
like this one has done :

it looks like this on my car

the hole is viewable from the back because its lower than the bumoer

then i removed tons of sound dampening
