Rear Diffuser hotness idea...
I am assuming there are many MR2 folks out there who want/wish a diffuser was made for the MKII chassis that looked aggressive and such....
Well I've been thinking about options and then it dawned on me....why not just be creative and adapt a current diffuser designed for another car for the MR2? The following are diffusers that Shine Auto Project made based on an original design from a company in Japan if my memory serves me right. They make a version in their FRP special stuff and also CF. Pictures show them on their original intended application on the FC and FD chassis of the RX-7....but why not just put some R&D into finding a way to properly mount it to MR2? Well it's not impossible because after hours of researching I ran into an MR2 that appears to have done this because the diffuser it uses looks exactly the same as the Shine Auto RX7 diffusers.... This looks like something fun to consider within the next year.... I'll let the pics do the talking.... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Now for the MR2s that I think have done this already.... This one from Malaysia used to have an OEM rear with border sides but then later went with Pheonix Power rear and the rear diffuser! ![]() ![]() ![]() And this MR2 seems to be using it even on the OEM rear bumper! Which is good to know...that it's not impossible to do this.. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() What do you think about this? The diffusers are around the $500 range too....not bad at all in my opinion for such a unique well made piece. |

I wouldn't bother with it unless it was smaller, i don't like how it looks all big in the pictures
maybe if it was smaller and slicker |

I am going to do the same thing already working on front splitter, the reason for me is not looks , my car is going to be a time attack machine and aero is a must to succeed.

It looks terrible. Are the performance gains worth it?
