Side Skirt Problem

Hey guys I was wondering if someone could help me out with a screw problem. I bought a shell and it came with Aeroware side skirts. I want to remove them but I don't know what to do with this kind of screw. Does anybody know how to remove this screw?

It's a rivet, drill it out! Start small and work your way up in bit size.

You just want to drill out inner piece, google "drilling out rivets" the hole left should be the size of the rivet. It shouldn't be any larger than the hole you have now. Your's is probably AL and easy to drill out, others should chime in soon.

Looks like an 1/8" rivet to me without anything to compare it with size wise. He's right though, you'll need to drill it out (well, separate the big visible part from the shaft. Basically the rivet looks like:

---------

(O)

Where teh "O" is a swollen/expanded nub on part of the shaft. As the O draws upward, it forces the two pieces (of whatever) together.

It looks like you have enough room it looks like, to cut the head off, but drilling is a better option.
