I'd love to wake up to this every morning:

There's just something sexy about hardtops.

I'm interested in modifying my TRD shifter to fit the tall knob. How do I go about this?

his car is a 93 it came with a short shifter which allowed the trd shifter to fit easily.

Ren, aka Deucegirl, modified the shift knob and shifter to fit it down lower than normal. I can't remember exactly what she did, but I'm sure Colin, Dorman, or Ren will chime in when they read the thread.

And now the shift knob doesn't move at all i.e. screwed all the way in? Reason I asked is that I kind of forced the knob to become tight by continuing to rotate it. Wasn't the smartest idea as the leather on the knob is a little deformed now but at least there's no play on it unless I use extra force.
