I'm not worthy!!!
There are so many cool MR2 mr2's out there...I am flattered to even be considered for the showcase! Thanks for the honor
Sorry for taking so long to chime in here, but I have been scrambling to get my home ready to sell (got lucky and sold it in 4 days!). I am being transferred from ATL to Raleigh, NC for my work, so I, regretfully, will be leaving my ATL friends here soon But, I hear that you NC folks aren't half bad, so maybe my grieving will fade ![]() I have owned my car since '93 and every time I drive it or look at it..I get a warm and fuzzy feelin'. I guess its just the satisfaction of knowing that over all the years I have owned it...it just keeps getting better. At this point there is not a whole lot I have not either replaced or modified on the car, but I still get excited about the thought of taking on another project...am I sick or what? If you ask my wife she will provide a nearly instantaneous positive response to that question...but even she has a hard time fighting off a big grin when carving down a twisty road! Keep it between the lines ![]() Cheers! Mike |

Too much of a PITA to do for someone esle
It's a labor of love I reserve only for my personal vehicle. Happy to provide free advice though ![]() Personally...I think it does not make sense to pay for someone else to do it for you. For the price it would take to pay for all the labor involved in addition to sourceing all the parts...you could probably find a newer vehicle with updated technology and performance (assuming performance is the primary reason for the swap). If you have the time and don't mind spending the effort to do a little research and learn some new skills...I would highly recommend doing it yourself. If you start running into trouble...there are enough people on the board with experience to help you work through it. Plus, you will get the satisfaction of knowing you did it yourself and the confidence and knowledge to troubleshoot any future problems! |
