There were a couple of 98 BEAMS MR2s at the meet. I got to take a ride in one of them on a twisty mountain road and it was pretty cool. The driver was an older guy who knew how to take the turns and loved to open up the throttle but he never took it over 5000rpms. Ask Pheonix about how agressive this guy was because he was behind him on many of the drives. The BEAMS is a good motor but it does not have the low end torque of a 3sgte or even a 5sfe. It kinda reminded me of the powerband of a 4age just with more power overall. I would have loved to see what it would have done from 5000-7000rpms but I couldn't talk him into taking it there. So yeah I agree it would be a rare car but with the weight of the widebody and the wider wheels I don't think it would be as fun to drive. It would be the center of attention at the car shows though.

i personally have 8.5 in fron and have 9.5 in the back with 1" spacers as well and it looks fine too me but i also lowered the back 2.5" and front 2"
