Congratulations to Turbo- - MR2Board's March 2007 Showcase MR2!
1992 MR2 Turbo

To many of us, the allure of a beautiful MR2 lays in the fact that it is relatively uncommon. Although not at the same level as some of the most rare sports cars, the MR2 is far from a typical sight on the street, or at your local parkade. This couldn't be any more true for Hafsteinn Arnar of Iceland. Haffi owns the only known SW20 in his country. There was a naturally aspirated car that roamed the streets about 5 years ago, but unfortunately it met its fate, and now resides in a junkyard.

Haffi's car doesn't come without a story attached. It was purchased when he was 15 from a salvage auction in Iceland. The last MKII in the country was well on its way to spending the rest of its life in a junkyard also. The car had been nearly destroyed in a collision with a horse. This MR2 needed serious attention, and thankfully, Haffi and his father were willing to give it what it needed.

Geez, that must be an awesome feeling driving a car in a country that no one else has.

I don't think I will ever get that feeling where i live.

Congrats on the beautiful rebuild! You have an amazing car and i tip my hat to you sir.
