Congratulations to vanilla.coffee - MR2Board's May 2007 Showcase MR2!
1998 MR2 2.0 GTi16

vanilla.coffee is lucky enough to have something that most MR2 owners in this club can only dream off. A Revision 5 MKII. Often the MR2s found in the UK are imported from Japan, but Tony was lucky enough to find a model naitive to his homeland. Purchased in 2005, Tony still cannot get enough of his MR2, and drives it daily. Even after 20,000 miles the car hasn't given Tony any trouble - something only a 10 year old Toyota could do!

One of the most recognizable featers of this gorgeous MR2 is the Revision 6 Quad HID Projector Low Rise kit. The Mongoose exhaust is a subtle, yet attractive touch to the car's rear end, excellently complementing the adjustable OEM spoiler and late model taillights. Keeping with the MR2's clean exterior are a well matched set of 17" Jim Head alloy wheels. Inside, Tony updated the interior with a Kenwood double DIN head unit and Speedhut dials. This car could definately be passed off for a car only a couple years old.

It's great to see such a beautiful example of a Revision 5 MKII on MR2Board. Thanks vanilla.coffee!!.

Awesome pictures *cough* saved as screensaver*cough* what kind of camera were those taken with and howd you get those effects to not blur into a hot mess? Were they taken professionally?

One more thing, do you have any larger ones I could "borrow"

He got the one inside by focusing on the interior, setting the exposure to around 1-1.5 seconds and making sure the camera stayed incredibly still as he drove at what looks like 40-50 MPH through a tunnel.

wow, no offence to anybody else on the board but that is the best looking duece i have ever seen, I want a black one with that spoiler and tailights, beautiful!!!!!!!!!!

Did I see that right MKII 98'? I didnt even know they made that body style in 98. Ill trade you a huge A$$ role of carbon for your car j/k. I like the setting of the pic as I am a country boy lol. Congrats man...

I think they even sold the left over 98's as 99's in japan....(anyone have real info on this?)

Congrats VC! well deserved showcase, Ive seen this car at shows, and its awesome, and so are his photography skills, often helps out with the odd photo in MR2 Only Magazine, well done !
