Sometimes a modified MR2 will catch the trained eye of
a real enthusiast with something a little special. The
Do-Luck MR2 is one of these. Originally Owned and
Built by Ian Shoel, Brian purchased the car in summer
2006. This MR2 is the only known MR2 in the USA with a
full authentic Do-Luck Aerowivern kit. This makes this
build a little more rare than most.

This is the second incarnation of this MR2. The
Original built was a little more wild, but we won't go
into that here. The original bodywork was completed by
the father son team of Larry and Toby Sanders, now of
Phantasy Kolors. Most of the original bodywork has
since been re-done, but still remaining are the gas
cap re-location, shaved reverse lights, shaved
moldings, and shaved handles. The new paint and
Do-Luck kit were done by some of Ian's friends in
Canada. Being close friends with Ian, bite by the MR2
bug and familiar Ian's car, Brian purchase the MR2
from Ian. He has since decided to start a
project/build from scratch. The Do-Luck MR2 is now
currently for sale, as Brian is starting a new
project. As you can imagine, the Do-Luck MR2 has been
the recipient of many awards and the subject of many
magazine articles over the course of it's life, the
most recent being the cover car for the December issue
of TunerZine.com. The car can also be seen in
Performance Auto & Sound (July 2006) Modified Mag (Feb
2006) and there was a full lay out on the car in
Performance Auto & Sound (November 2006).

Unlike some highly aesthetically modified MR2's, this
car isn't just only for show, but it has a lot of 'go'
to back it up. The car has run 12's in the ¼ mile at
BOTI. This obviously isn't your run of the mill, stock

This mr2 was actually from Team Menace back in 2006..As far as Body works well it was my friend in Canada that did this Body work...And Brian sorry to say but at least tell everyone the truth regarding the car..I thought your my boy, thats why I sold this car to you...But after reading this comments and your info about the car, i dont think its right to give those kind of info to this board...This Mr2 board actually featured my car last December 2005...if im not mistaken....I have the same photo shoot and pics....By the way Im Ian O. Shoel...i built this mr2 and sold it to Brian....all im asking is tell the true story about the ride cause really theres nothing thats been change in this vehicle...the only thing that was done is the door panels speaker.....Who ever is the administrator for this board please email me....my email is ishoel@hotmail.com....Thankyou everyone for the positive comment you guys have input....
