New board feature - vB Photo Gallery

We are very pleased to announce the release of vBPicGallery! Every MR2Board user should now see a new option in their USERCP in which they can setup their own picture gallery for up to 4 vehicles. We are still doing alot of work to the board and some things will be out of place for a few days, but should have most of the new installs completed by the end of the weekend. We'd also like to give special thanks to one of our new members; noppid, for coding the vBPicGallery! Kudos on a job very well done! To browse the Gallery, simply click the link below. In the next few days, we will get links setup pointing to the Gallery that are integrated in your user profile and other areas throughout the board. Enjoy!

this will be such a good tool to use once the board gets really big...no more wasted threads asking about what something looks like....you'll just be able to link that person to the proper profile to view it.

I have a new php file for you and one easy template edit for ya. Nothing to worry about though. Just being a perfectionist.

I'll work on Member profile now while I watch football. I'll link the profile to the members hall.

What do you mean by a forum home link? A link to forum home on the navbar or a link on forum home to the vbpicgallery? The code for a link to the vbpicgallery is in the install_vbpg435.txt. It's a very easy edit. If you want the link only on forum home, that's a very easy conditional.

I have also made a sort option for the vbpicgallery list. You can now sort the list in ascending or descending order by creation date.

You have two easy template edits to make and have to upload the new vbipcgallery.php to get to the current revision 3.

Forget about the navbar link. It was an ID 10 T error. I reverted all of the templates earlier today to default and didn't reapply the vBPicChanges. The link is there and working now.

Awesome on the sort option....you read my mind, and linking to the Member Hall from within their profile is perfect.

Also, I have left the full image options viewable to guest accounts so those looking to see a demo later won't have to sign up to see the all of the features, except of course for adding their own gallery.

One other idea I had, and I have no clue how hard this will be to implement...but what about having the information posted in the gallery searchable? That way, someone looking for a particular body kit could see someone's modlist results when they searched the board. If it's a major pita, don't sweat it as the major search engines will index it soon enough anyway.

OPPS, there is a bug in that displaying the username with spaces. I have to double check that code. But it will work for now.

Very odd behaviour. The vB name is ok, but my code has a + instead of a space. dammit man!
