I think your name should only chance colour if you have a Beams or V6 in your car and the car is running!

With that in mind, I think any swapped engine that is running would be the qualifier for a red name. We should also require video proof, especially if it is a V8 swap

We were just experimenting with the username color for the Beams group. There verdict is still out on whether we will keep it or not. Their pins on the member map will stay red though. We've considered the same for the V6 guys as well. We may scrap it completely with the next version of vBulletin that has a Social Groups feature.

How about color code for years, MK1= color A, MK2= color B, MK3= color c, just an example. that way everyone knows what year your car is, not what color your valve cover is. im sorry but i didn't even know what a beams engine was until this year, and ive owned 3 91 mr2s, 2 turbo, 1 non, and my first one was back in 2001 so im no newbie to the sw20

why not just get little icons under our name.

5s = owner you get a turrtle shell
v6/non running car = a jack stand
beams = vtec logo
domestic engines = mullet
