Both Ben and Shane were two of my closest friends that hung around the shop and knew what the car was capable of. I'm gonna be uploading Ben's build on the car. This hits me the hardest because that Friday night, I was the only one in the shop working on my MR2 and they both stopped by to pick up the car to finally take it home after spending almost a year working on the car to get it perfect. All the time and money was his hard earned money and his own blood and sweat into this project just to lose it in one unlucky night. I'm working on an album dedicated to him with his progress from start to finish. The picture that was sent to scooterman was the MOST recent picture that was taken. Here is the link to the site and I will be updating it until it is finished. He was not only a friend, he was family to us. Ben never cussed, drank, smoked, or even gotten laid and was a very hard to find average good kid. He was the easiest person to get along with and never had a grudge against anyone. My reguards goes to his family and his bothers and sister. You will always be in our hearts. We love you Ben and Shane.

Thanks for posting his car, it was really awesome and a lot of work went into it. It says alot about him in a quiet way.

Here's a small video clip that shows what kind of person Ben was. This is Ben with the electric fan in his hand. This was his daily beater that we were messing with and joking around with until his car was finished.

Here is a piece from the scene of the crash that we recovered and are going to make tribute for Ben.

This is the piece we recovered.

And this was where it was.

Ben wasn't the type of person to show off anything. You gotta think that he was the type of person to put every penny he earned into a car that we took under our wing to make it into exactly what he wanted. The car itself was all stock N/A with nothing done to the engine to make it fast. What makes this harder for everyone here is that they were both 2 houses away from getting home. And yes, we did lose 2 MR2 owners in the whole ordeal as I knew them personally and take up for them and can vouch that they both knew what the car could handle. It was the other car in the opposing lane that cause that terrible event to unfold the way it did.

8 months ago today I almost died with my MR2. I was told by every parametric and fire fighter that I should be dead, not a very comforting thing. But I am glad that I got a second chance at life. I only wish that Ben and Brian could have the same. My heart goes out to the friends and family of these two. Myself along with others on this board have experienced a loss such as this one in their lives. It's not an easy thing to cope with. May these two rest in peace.

What a way to start the new year... my condolences to their friends and families, looks like he was a great guy and I'm sure everyone wishes they had got to know him better. Everyone be safe and always watch out for the other driver, you can be the best driver in the world and it won't mean a damn thing if the other person is driving reckless or isn't paying attention..

My sympathy goes out to the friends and family. I've had 2 really bad wrecks where I should have been killled. One I rolled the car 3 times in a 2001 integra into a ditch that I know I should have been dead. That was when I was a little bit younger and more stupid, and I like to think I learned from my mistakes. It makes you realize how easy it is to get killed and how stupid you was for doing something you shouldn't. I wish these 2 got thesame chances I did. I'm not saying im a saint now but don't drive crazy like I used to. Which makes me wonder how the hole wreck happend. Cause I know I always drive over the speed llimit just not all crazy. Which is what I wonder happend to him, driving over the speed limit but not crazy and something happend that made him wreck. Either way its a lose and i'm sorry this happen

Thank You from Ben's Family

Hi this is Ben's Father. I wanted to thank you all for your kind words and concerned warnings to other drivers. I can tell you that we called Ben's MR2 his girlfriend, same amount of time, money, and love was spent on the car as if he would of had a girlfriend. That was the joke around here. As far as Ben's driving skills he probably logged 10 times as many hours a week behind a wheel for the past 3 years on these crazy roads around here than I did. He was a Domino's Pizza delivery guy at night so he could go to school in the mornings. The particular road he was driving on scared me doing the speed limit in daylight. I blame no one it was just a tragic accident. I want to thank the guys at Exotics Inc for being good friends with Ben and Shane they loved going over there. I only have one picture of Ben in the finished car

Thank Ken Borawski and Family
