Regional Briefs: Men who were killed in wreck are identified

The N.C. Highway Patrol identified yesterday the two men who were killed in a wreck Friday night.

Benjamin Michael Borawski, 21, of Walnut Cove and Brian Shane Beebe, 20, of Germanton were killed in the wreck at 8:34 on Red Bank Road north of Winston-Salem.

The highway patrol said that preliminary investigation showed that Borawski was speeding in a Toyota MR2 and lost control on a curve, then hit a tree. He was going about 70 mph in the 45 mph zone.

he only had 5 posts on here, but i thought i post it.
Winston-Salem Journal | Regional Briefs: Men who were killed in wreck are identified

his name was his name on the board. He must have just got the car (edit guess he had it for about a year and just finished overhauling it), it had a brand new paint job on it and still some stuff missing. I dropped off a set of headers to him on the 2nd, when i was in NC.

Unhappy

It sucks to read that. But, when we drive like that we are taken the risk. Something I need to keep in mind the next time I screw around.....

...and also we shouldn't forget about our passenger, if/when we push our cars on the street our passengers are literally trusting their lives to our hands and feet. i hate to see this.

We are also putting the public around us a risk. We don't know who is going to be in front of us when we lose the car.

My condolences are with his family and friends.

Very true. It can't be said enough how careful you have to be and please, follow the speed limits. Like them or not they are usually there for a reason.

Condolences to his friends and family.

RIP...this board is such an awesome arena for us to chat about our cars, but at the same time this incident as well as others in the past makes it hit close to home everytime. RIP...I'm sure he was an awesome guy and looks like he had the makings of an awesome MR2.
