For Sale Forum

I lurk the sale forums quite often. I usually make no mention about a seller's price unless it specifically compares prices to other companies which are false. For instance if a seller says, "I have this part for sale at XXXX price. The cheapest online price is YYYY". I'll mention to the seller either via post or PM that they are incorrect and the cheapest online price is actually ZZZZ.

But something i've noticed in many threads over time is when a seller simply states he's asking XXXX for his part, and others come in saying he should lower it because they are only worth YYYY.

I mean, who cares what the seller is asking, it's his part, in his possession and he can ask whatever he wants for it. Whether it'll sell or not is another matter entirely.

From the rules as its written now:

Perhaps it's just me, but it just irks me when I see this. If you really want to notify the buyer, simply PM him your concerns. If they decide to lower the price, cool, if not, so be it. Let them sell whatever they want for however much they want.

There is a very fine line between assisting a seller when they're asking too much, and coming off as a complete jerk

Although true, I just see it as disrespectful to post it publicly. A PM is a far better way of handling things.
