problem I'm having

Guys / Gals / site bod's,

I'm having a problem which is really hacking me off. It doesn't happen all the time and seems to be happening at random. Before you ask, it isn't time of day, day of the month related -nor does it depend what hand I use to type!!!! Also happens on regular PC, my laptop and my handheld.

Sometime's when I hit "preview" it goes straight to "submit post" -this happens after I've hit the "reply" function to write another message on a post.

When I'm in the private message section: I can hit the "preview" button, the screen refreshes, then goes back to my inbox -no evidence of any message. 99% of the time, I have to hit "back" on internet browser and see my message as it's written in the little box entry area, then just hit "send" for it to go.

...This has got me for a while, I thought I was going screwey, but this past week or so I really have taken any screwey ness factor out of it.

Any pointers folk? I dunno what's going on but I tried to preview a couple of PM's before I was going to send them today and got nowhere again so just hit back, then sent them after reviewing them as I scrolled down the little box again.

Thanks

Richard

PS: I have NO idea whether I've posted this in the right place!!!!

I've had something like this happen a few times: I would be writing a PM and I hit "Preview Message" and it sends it! I never got to preview the message. This hasn't happened for a long time though.

I'm trying to send a PM, but it isn't sending.

EDIT: Nevermind, it's working now after I deleted some smileys.

Well at least I'm not the only person though I can't stand these smily things so don't use them -can't be anything to do with that.

No response / suggestions from MR2 board yet????

We've played with it but we've been unable to recreate the problem, but we're not 100% sure we're taking the correct steps to do so. The only thing we could guess is clearing your cookies and temp files. Aside from that, if you could get a screen recorder and record the problem happening, we could investigate the issue further. Windows Media Encoder is a free download and is able to do this.

what browser you using? Something happening once out of hundreds of times...**** happens. Stuff happening on a regular or at least semi-regular basis in for sure an issue.

Any add-ons installed (extra search bar, pop-up blocker, ANYTHING even if you know it's not causing it)?

To elaborate on what PearlJammzz is saying, say youre using Mozilla Firefox, try doing it in Internet Explorer and see if it does it as well. See if its application specific, or if its a "global" issue.

I got internet explorer, but must admit, it's a works laptop so I have no idea what's on there, too much security stuff though. They seem to give us PC's but must spend half their time stripping them out! Maybe that's got something to do with it.

I'll just keep a watch on it and see if it still happens, though sounds like it's an issue with my set-up.

It's happening frequently enough to put up a post, if you don't ask, you'll never get to know.

Thanks for the feedback guys,

Richard
