As many of you may or may not know, MR2Board officially opened on February 22, 2005. MR2Board was created to offer a friendly environment to meet other Toyota MR2 owners all over the world so you could:

Share a common interest in Toyota MR2's of all years and generations.
Discuss opinions on modifications, styling, and products for our MR2's.
Give or receive help with technical problems specifically related to MR2s.
Buy and sell MR2 related parts and services.
Post unbiased reviews on MR2 parts and service vendors. Since this board receives no money in any form from MR2 parts and service vendors (advertising or otherwise) the board has no reason to favor any particular vendor over another. We favor fair and honest reviews for the benefit of everyone involved.
Meet local and distant MR2 friends.
Schedule and plan MR2 related events.
Share MR2 event reviews and pictures.

At MR2Board, we remember that it's the members that make up the community, not the board owners or the moderators. As the existing members can attest, this board is a friendly place to be as we remember a message board isn't much without its members.

In spite of strong competition, MR2Board has flourished since it's inception and continues to grow. The monthly MR2 Board registration numbers have been posted below listing the month, new member sign-ups for that month, and the total members at the end of each month. As you can see, our forum is steady growing as word gets out to other MR2 owners.

Since it's inception, MR2Board has been partnered with http://www.wheelspecs.com and http://www.carpron.com, both of which are also completely free of charge and offered by one of the MR2 community's senior members from Texas, Paalo, or board name EL PAALO. Paalo has dedicated his time and efforts to helping owners of MR2's (and other makes of vehicles as well) make wheel sizing and buying decisions for many years now. Paalo's free web gallery located at http://www.carpron.com houses the largest and most extensive gallery of Toyota MR2 images in existence today.

In July 2005, the creators and staff of MR2Board.com brought you http://www.mr2trader.com to fill in the gap that used to be serviced by http://www.xcars.com. In the same spirit of XCARS, MR2Trader.com offers MR2 owners a free outlet to buy, sell, and trade MR2 cars and parts for all three MR2 generations: MK1 (AW11), MK2 (SW20), and the MK3 (Spyder). To date, there have been 587 registrations on www.mr2trader.com and it is quickly becoming the premier Toyota MR2 Classifieds site. John Sweazen, the owner of XCARS, sends his kind regards to the MR2 community and we graciously thank for his many years of free service. There have been many MR2 owners who have found a MR2 via XCARS. We may at some point redevelop XCARS, but there have been no official plans made at this time.

There are many people who deserve credit for what MR2Board.com has accomplished in the last year. MR2Board has a very dedicated individuals (staff and members) working to offer a very valuable service to MR2 owners everywhere. We are constantly aiming to improve MR2 board and the features offered and we always welcome your input and suggestions. Thanks for all your hard work and for providing an objective, relaxed atmosphere for MR2 owners to enjoy.

This board is great and the future is bright.

Even without opressive moderation, none of the self-justification / doomsday scenarios wielded by overzealous moderators on other boards have come to be.

The same community members, sharing the same interests, coexisting in a relaxed environment.

MR2board.com and Celicatech.com share similarities between the philosphies of operation and reasons for starting up. Definitely a good crew over there.

I would also like to give my thanks to brian and his crew for giving us a place on the net to have some "free feeling" fun w/o having to worry about what we say and to whom it may offend. This board will soon be THE largest mr2 owners board there is available. At first this board only consisted of local ATL owners but soon spread over to the lands of Ireland, The down Under and such. Thanks again brian!!

This board is great. Info that I gave gathered from this board has helped me bring my car to life and hopefully continue to do so. There us a really friendly, relaxed and welcoming attitude here also. I really hope that it continues to grow across the globe.
