i'm sure with the site upgrade that there are probably a million little little kinks to get worked out. I would hold off for a day or 2.

We just installed a new donation system and have not configured it yet. We are still trying to port donations over from the previous system before enabling the new one.

It's up and operational now. We are still working on porting the old names to the new list. Use the liink in the top-lower navbar, not the top-top one.

With all the upgrades that were just done to the board I'm sure there's a whole laundry list of stuff the admins have to address.

I donated on 5/19/08 and it listed me as a guest. Not being entirely altruistic I was sort of disappointed. However the progress bar moved forward $20 so I know it went to the right place.

Instead of setting a goal of $200, then meeting it, then deleting it, then starting another new goal of $200 starting at $0, why don't you just set a goal of $400? Or whatever it is you're trying to raise?

Correct. Our monthly hosting and support costs are approximately $165, depending on bandwidth usage. The additional is put toward a new server we purchased this year and new hard drives that still need to be purchased. We use server class hardware (HP DL380) and the drives will be approximately $800-1000. The donation rates have been much better with the $200 monthly goals versus a $2000+ yearly goal.

Are the harddrive SCSI or SATA? if they are of the SATA type, you can get a SAS (SATA Attached SCSI) Which allows you to use a 15000 RPM HDD. Fujitsu has 300GB SAS drived for about $450 on Newegg.

I'd recommend getting 4 of them for RAID 0+1.
