How is this for a banner

Actually Ozy, can you do a few more variations with a bit of color in them? Keep the left side light / duotone but work on blending some colors into the right side? I'd like for the banner to just give the site a bit more 'life' since the rest of it is pretty limited in color.

Hmm, well I wouldn't know what colors to blend in without disturbing the look of the whole theme...

Are you working in PS? You can pretty much add any colors into the banner without disturbing the rest of the site. I like the idea of using the MR2 symbol, but I don't know what the trademark rights on that are.

You mean the Logo? The logo is 300px, your background image is around 488px.

I can add any color I want but I don't want to ruin the look of the theme which is why I made it black and white. The car on the right is silver anyway so there isn't much color to add on the right side. :-P I'll play around a little bit...

Don't worry about the color. It would be nice to get a blend of all 3 gens into the background, though. If you do this, make sure you get the owners permission to use their car.

Ideally, it should include all three gens though. I'd like to see 3 that randomly show ...... the current one with a toyota badge, the current badge with spyders in the background, and the thunderchicken with aw11's in the background.

Find me some decent pics of an MKI and i'll put it in. MKIIIs all hang out at spyderchat anyway....have you ever seen the activity of the MKIII section on mr2oc? It's hardly there. But if you guys really want an MKIII in the banner give me some good pics of that too.

He didn't take the pic though and pic ownership/photography is actually what's important for use. Pretty sure I remember the guy that took the pic too and he'll likely be at the next event as well.

I'm sure 8 legs would love to contribute, lol (do not use this pic or I'm sure he'll beat ur ass, just had to show it because it's a great pic and a good example of what we should try to find, imo):

FrankDesign has awesome pics of his 2. I think you can get him at webmaster@compactevolution.com to ask permission. No idea if he'd be game or not.
