chat?

I don't know how much the chat feature here gets used, but as a computer tech I'm a little offended that the chat here is flash based, of all things.

I'd *love* to have a chat where I could jump in and see half the people who are currently active on the board hanging out and chatting. It'd be a great resource for beginners to ask simple questions, or talk about plausible ideas. I've found that other forums I've visited with IRC based chats often times wind up having a group of regulars that you can almost count on to be there on a regular basis, and it's usually the ones that have a-lot of answers to many simple questions.

I know the general population on these boards probably arent the computer geek type, so I'm not sure how well that would work out. perhaps a poll? "change the chat to irc, leave the chat alone, what the heck is irc"; although I'd imagine most people here would vote the last one.
...or perhaps I'm wrong, and a fair chunk of the mr2 forum dwellers are closet pc enthusiasts

I'm just wishing I had that resource. Threads on this board are posted faster than I can read them, and I've learned tons of things about these cars (and any car in general) just trying to keep up. I cant imagine how quickly I'm going to start having questions once I finally get my hands on one of these cars.
