For always having so many people on here...
There arent alot of threads and discussion about MR2s going on.
For so many active posters we dont have a whole lot of new threads showing up every day. |

I really dont know. But I think in my opinion, Ive told Brian about it too, the moderators and forum leaders need to be made public. Brings more of a sense of community IMO. Its more personable to deal with a person than a "tech support" account. And the forum leaders prompt conversation by sponsoring topics and discussions and things like that. Thats all I can say, and maybe Im assuming too much because Im not part of the moderators and forum leaders of this site. Im just thinking out loud, but thats pretty much how its ran on celicatech, and of course it isnt perfect, and maybe its just my impression, but though I always have less active users, I have quite a few new posts to go to in every forum when I go on there to check things out. It seems like I have more users overall, less that use it at a time, but more posts being made with more discussion. This place has less overall users, more on at a time, and less posts being made. And the posts that ARE made, it seems its always the same people keeping the thread alive. Its like new people are being afraid to post.
We arent all about the "use the search button" crap over here are we? I figure if you have the time to answer a question with that, you have the time to at least point someone in the right direction without referring them to the search button. I dunno, just thinking out loud again. |

This is being discussed to a great extent in the admin area.

What we need is a bunch of 16 yr olds that just got mr2 turbos and we will have plently of topics, such trying to get a 10sec 500rwhp daily driver! (no offense to anyone as I am barely out of that age bracket
)I would have alot of questions if I had not temporarly haulted the modding of my two during schooling. |

I've noticed that too. Why is it so quiet on the board?

It's just quiet by comparison ... if you think this is quiet, come to a couple other boards I'm on, you can hear the grass grow there

Would be nice to see more crazy people on here, doing massive mind bending mod's on their cars. Something that would definitely put this board up above and beyond the regular forums. Not very many people in the chat room to discuss techinical stuff with. Yes, i'm ranting, hehe. There's a lot of stuff i'd like to post threads on, but it seems like there has not been really much discussion so i dont bother posting them. Am i just being lazy or do i need someone to tell me what i should post? Or do i just start making threads on everything that i've come across or mods i'm building or tech. advise or how to's , etc.....Gimmie a hint. I'd sure like to contribute more.

Just start posting anything you want. How-tos are great, even questions. The more people like yourself that start posting will help the board grow because i am sure there are many others who are thinking the same things you are. If you all start posting then zippidy doo dah the board grows. As the board grows you will start to see more of the "mind bending" mods you speak off. Chat will grow as well. See....before you know it you'll have everything you ever wished for ![]() |

Wells, you see that's the thing. Where do i start? or should i just post them in the general discussion and let the mods sort it out? Dont really want to clutter the board with a bunch of short threads where everyone looks but no one adds anything.

Keep in mind that the board is publicly viewable and indexed by the search engines, so if you post good content there is a good chance someone running a search will find it. The long term effects of content are very beneficial, even if it gets cluttered. We can always deal with organizing content. I'd rather have that problem than not enough content.
